Flood Warnings
The Environment Agency has a current flood warnings service, along with general flood information.
Weather for the Serious User
Met Office - offers rather more technical weather info than other services. World-wide coverage.
Met Office world weather information
Met Office UK Regional forecasts - for 15 UK regions
Met Office Offshore - Met Office shipping forecasts
Met Office Inshore - Met Office inshore forecasts
BTX Weather - Sea conditions in UK waters for small boats - also satellite weather data and links to further weather-on-the-Web sites.
Mariners will already know, but as a reminder Radio 4 (FM 92.4-94.6MHz, Long Wave 198kHz) puts out Shipping forecasts at 5.35 a.m., 12 noon (LW only) and 12.48 after midnight.
General Overviews
BBC Weather - forecasts and weather links providing 4-day outlooks, links to satellite pictures, and weather features on (e.g.) current sporting events.
Online Weather - UK and Irish weather, general and by area. Sailing and shipping forecasts around the UK. World weather.
Local Weather
Birmingham - The regional weather forecast. (This page isn't instant, so allow it time to come up.)
