Local Bus and Metro Services

The principal bus operator in the area is Travel West Midlands, which also runs the Midland Metro tramway
service between Wolverhampton and Birmingham. Try their main page
and their click-to-magnify principal route maps.
Diagrams of the Metro station layouts for The Hawthorns, Jewellery Quarter and Birmingham Snow Hill are in
our railway section.
Supporting both bus and rail services in the region is Centro, which
operates services in co-operation with the region's major transport undertakings such as Central Trains.

Rail Travel
|
DudleyMall's own guide to Local Rail Facilities now covers an area
running from Shrewsbury across to Nottingham, and down to Bristol, High Wycombe and Milton Keynes. It
provides sketch plans for most stations along the lines covered, along with information on parking and
easy access. You can check our route map and search by line or by station. So give it a visit (and if we
get anything wrong, please email us through dudleymall@dudleymall.co.uk.)
Most of the stations on the lines in the Centro area (Birmingham - Worcester, and the West Coast Main Line -
locally Birmingham to Wolverhampton) have parking facilities and easy access for the less mobile or pram-
encumbered, though some stations are easier to use than others. Sandwell & Dudley isn't our favourite
local station if you use a bus to get there, but it's good for car users, and other than Wolverhampton and
Birmingham, it has the best local access to long distance trains.

To get UK Fares Information, ring 0345-48-49-50 (charged at local rates). Some companies
such as Virgin and Great North Eastern will provide fare information if you create a free log-in account on
their pages.

London Transport's home page for info on London buses,
underground, river services, transport operators, fares and travel news.
Underground maps page. The best
underground maps are the standard
diagram, and the fares boundary
map. These are large files and may be slow to load at busy times.
The bus page leads to maps and fares, but
the Places Served A-Z seems to be undergoing a rebuild, so you don't get much help there at
present.
