WHAT WE ARE - an independent British railway directory, with line routes, station sketches and station descriptions to help you decide which is the best station to use, and what to expect when you get there. The sketches are simplified and not to scale, but still contain most of what you may need. WHAT WE COVER - originally just the West Midlands, but the coverage has extended considerably beyond that (see our main map) and is still growing. OUR DIRECTORIES - our All Routes Map and our Stations A-Z; and the bottom of every page displays our Routes Table. EASY ACCESS - All stations are graded for easy wheeled access, as explained on our Easy Access page. PARKING - As far as possible, we indicate parking with its approximate size, and whether free or charged for. TRAIN TIMES AND CURRENT TRAINS - We DON'T provide these services, but you'll find both at National Rail. Their Live Departure Boards are especially useful for checking whether a train is running on time and where it will be calling en route. Other sites such as TheTrainLine, GNER, and Virgin provide very similar information - probably using data from National Rail. TRAIN FARES - We DON'T provide fares information either, and (seemingly) nor does anyone else. However, if you check trains using the services above, they allow you to book tickets (for fast post delivery). For this you need to create an account on-line, but using that may allow you to enquire without buying. LIABILITY - The notes and sketches provided are intended only to give a general impression, and should not be relied upon for more than that.
