Every time you go on the web you run a serious risk of virus infection. Some viruses may start to undermine your system immediately, but others will lay dormant until triggered - and can then cause massive data loss without warning. You may already have several viruses on your machine, and all the time they are there, you may be unknowingly passing them on to your friends as well. One of the first actions our clinic takes is to clean out and kill all viruses on your computer.

Do you hate spam? Well your own machine is probably sending it out. Every web session, dozens of attacks will be made on your computer to secretly lodge spam-sender software that targets everyone in your email directory. If your computer is slow today, it might be because it's busy spamming others with system-dragging full colour illustrated emails instead of doing your work!
Spyware is sometimes just illegal cheap marketing - learning who you are and what can be sold to you. But it can be much nastier - recording every key you press when you go on the web, looking to steal your money and even your identity - and you won't even know it's there until the thieves have robbed you and gone. Castle will strip out adware and spyware to help protect you.

It is literally true that new viruses and threats appear every day. Even if you have good protection with daily updating, some viruses will still creep in - but if your protection does not update regularly, then you risk serious problems. We will ensure that all patches and new service packs appropriate to your machine are installed and up to date.

Our staff are thoroughly experienced with computer repairs and can replace any parts as necessary. And we repair laptops as well as desktop machines. But it's worth realising that many computer faults are software setting problems rather than hardware - and having our staff fix these is a far better deal than paying for a new machine when you don't need to.
If a repair does turn out to be necessary and is likely to be expensive, then we will advise you before carrying out the work.
